Formed in 1994 with 50 charter members, the Greater Barrington Chamber of Commerce is an active partner in community life. The Chamber has and continues to initiate projects that benefit our community such as high school scholarship awards funded by our annual Peeper 5K road race; Christmas toys for Barrington children; Citizen, Business Leader of the Year awards; and the annual golf tournament held at Nippo Lake Golf Club.

• A Bylaws Committee, consisting of Ron St. Jean, Joanne Randall, and Layne Case,  was formed by the Board of Directors.  The recommended changes to our Bylaws were approved by the Board of Directors and now must be approved by our membership.  Please download and review these recommendations.  We will be voting on these changes at the June 6th luncheon (12-1pm), which will be held at Nippo Lake Golf Club.  Please make every effort to attend as we do need to have at least 10% of our membership present to vote on these recommended changes.

• Scholarship Awards Reception will be held on Tuesday, June 5th, 2012.

• The 4th Annual Greater Barrington Chamber of Commerce “September to Remember” Community Expo 

• The 4^th Annual Greater Barrington Chamber of Commerce “September to Remember” Community Expo is scheduled for Saturday, September 29, from 12-5pm at the Barrington Middle School.  This family friendly event brings the community and businesses together to enjoy some great entertainment, bid on many silent auction items, visit well over 80 exhibitors and a chance to win a great raffle prize.   An exciting change to our food competition – IRON CHEF BARRINGTON will be feature for the very first time!  And, this year, the Barrington Food Pantry was selected to receive a portion of the proceeds from this event.   This is surely to be a fun afternoon for all.
