                                                                                                            What is B1st?

B1st is the name of the Chamber’s local business promotion program.

With over 300 businesses large and small you are apt to find what you are looking for here in Barrington…and that is how we ended up with the phone book cover rather than a directory….makes it easier for people to call local businesses. The most famous incident was when Lindy Horton’s dog was choking, Lindy grabbed the phone book, checked the cover, called Dr. Ed Lemos and saved the poor critter.

We introduced the logo by painting and papering the Town with stars, more stars then more of the image over a period of about three weeks, by reports of star sightings in the paper all leading to a huge community party at the Golf course, where all was revealed!
